NEBEG SEP & MEP eQTG

Insights & Education

In the flight simulation industry, training device certification requirements are evolving rapidly. For FSTDs at SEP/MEP (Single/Multi-Engine Piston) and SETP/METP (Single/Multi‐Engine Turboprop) levels, authorities like the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) demand rigorous evidence of device fidelity, repeatability and compliance.

The cornerstone: the Qualification Test Guide (QTG) or Master Qualification Test Guide (MQTG) documentation.

Why SEP & MEP matter

These levels serve millions of training hours globally and offer cost-effective solutions. Yet they still must demonstrate that their simulated aircraft class behaves like the real aircraft — even without full-flight‐simulator branding. For this, test automation and data integrity are becoming key.

How NEBEG’s eQTG Tool helps

Our solution automates the test process and plot generation for X-Plane-based devices and our services assure a complete and qualitative documentation:

  • Select aircraft (e.g., Cessna 172 for SEP, Baron 58 for MEP)

  • Filter tests by type or quarter

  • Choose manual or automatic mode

  • Run tests sequentially or individually

  • View live status, click into logs and review automated calculations

  • Export MasterPlots PDF; archive full MQTG folder with “Export” button

  • Initial release: X-Plane 12 support; future platforms planned

Key benefits

  • Audit-ready: Detailed logs, plots and documentation ready for submission

  • Time efficient: Automates test sequences, reduces manual prep

  • Scalable: Same tool supports SEP/SETP, MEP/METP and MET

  • Regulatory aligned: Prepared for EASA, FAA and national processes

Current Offer

The SEP and MEP versions of the NEBEG eQTG Tool are now fully released and available for immediate licensing at the standard rate.  Each licence includes full implementation of your chosen aircraft type, ensuring a tailored configuration aligned with your training or certification needs.

The MET version is in the final stage of development and available for pre-sale at a 15 % discount until its official release.

Custom validation data for unique or proprietary aircraft types is included on a per-licence basis, depending on data complexity and integration requirements.

Automated test tools like NEBEG’s eQTG are reshaping how FSTD manufacturers and training centres prepare for certification. By combining advanced workflow, documentation and export functionality, you gain a competitive edge, regulatory confidence and operational efficiency.
